About Beth

From miserable, codependent people-pleaser to free AF.

I’m Beth Rose, creator of The Re-Anchored Method™ and The Liberation Portal, and the host of the Internally Anchored™ podcast. I help people stop looking outside themselves to decide whether they’re okay, because I spent most of my life doing exactly that.

I needed everyone’s approval to be okay

I was the kid who would not break a rule. I dreaded crossing my mom. I couldn’t get in trouble, because getting in trouble meant I wasn’t okay. And no matter how hard I tried, I never quite fit in with my group of friends.

So I did what a lot of us do. I started bending over backwards for everyone else: friends, bosses, clients, my parents, the man I started dating in high school and later married, and eventually his family too. If they were happy with me, I could breathe. If they weren’t, nothing else mattered until I fixed it.

The relationships that forced me to change

My real healing was pushed forward by the two relationships where I abandoned myself the most: with my in-laws, and my husband.

For years I tried to earn my in-laws’ approval. I people-pleased, tried to just keep the peace and not be the problem, and underneath it all the resentment kept building. After spending time with them it would take me months to feel like myself again. Even when I stepped back from that relationship, it still consumed my life. I was triggered by them, couldn't stop talking about them, trying to analyze everything, and resenting them. I remember just wanting to not care so much.

My marriage had grown so much healthier by then. We’d both done our own work. But I was still deeply affected by my husband’s moods. When he was stressed or struggling, I’d drop everything, my business included, to make it better.

I tried everything to get free from it: therapy, courses, masterminds, coaches. I understood my patterns perfectly. I could explain exactly why I was the way I was. But none of it changed how I felt or the patterns I was stuck in.

The turning point

“I couldn’t hold center. I didn’t have an internal anchor, because I was anchored everywhere else.”

I was working with a mentor who kept asking me to hold center. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to stay, and that’s when I realized. There was no center to hold. Every part of my okayness was outside of me.

What followed next felt like a download. Piece by piece I could see how internal and external anchoring worked, and how it connected to the resentment that had kept me stuck for so long.

A few weeks later, my husband and I were driving to the grocery store and he was really stressed. Typically, that would have triggered tf out of me. I'd got into fix-it mode or get pissed that he was making me uncomfortable. But this time I felt the trigger, and I stayed. I stayed in my body and felt the sensation, instead of making it about him. And I realized: I’m okay. This is okay. That was the first time I Re-Anchored, and then everything started clicking.

What changed

I spent six years trying to start a business and made exactly $100. Resentment wasn’t just blocking my relationships. It was blocking everything.

Anchoring within opened up my capacity to hold the good things I couldn’t hold before: joy, peace and abundance. People still disappoint me. Things still get uncomfortable. The difference is that I stay with myself while they do.

What I teach now

Every time I tried to do something else, I ended up talking about resentment. It’s my life’s work. Today I teach The Re-Anchored Method™: a way to notice where you’ve left yourself and bring your attention and power back home.

Every day people message me to say this work is changing their lives. That’s why I keep doing it.

Where this comes from

I’m not a therapist, counselor or doctor. I have a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and I’ve lived about a thousand lives: nursing assistant, real estate agent, server, retail manager, temp, work at a cancer center in New York City, and running my own property management and housekeeping businesses.

The Re-Anchored Method™ is my own framework, built from my lived experience and from watching it work for the people who use it. It’s education and practice, not therapy or medical care. If you’re in crisis or in an unsafe situation, please reach out for professional or emergency support first.
